I was thinking, Andrew, a 6x6 Troopie? Ooooh.... dear me

Well it is a step in the right direction if we are ever going to have a chance at importing them (for private use) newer than 25 years old.

So not happening unless the old import law on the books gets repealed. Washington is so sideways that will never happen.

This is nothing new. Half the time we rolled in Rangers, hiluxs, hi-aces, and 70's with sand bags and steel plates welded in. The only difference now is the suspension will be upgraded and armor added properly.

No it's not. Aside from the whole world aid organizations leaving them, many cars in Asia are stolen for black market sale in the Middle East and Africa. Iirc the Toyota high ace and town ace are some of the most stolen cars in Japan China and South Asia.

Yea...cars are stolen and sold....but not outfitted and imported into war torn countries on a scale that can match federal governments.

You see trains of Hilux and 70 series in the middle east...they are all the same color, have the same wheels, and are the same trim level.

By and large, those come from our tax dollars.
