upon inspecting my intake manifold today i noticed a vaccum line plug was broken, does anyone have a part number for this item, and could i just plug it (my trucks desmogged) or is it important?

It's called a gas filter ... Or something like that. Looks like you're desmogged, so you could prolly just find a "T" fitting with the same thread that would work..

90917-11027 Dunno if still avail.

As Sir Spike mentioned, it's a vacuum source junction. Those vac hoses connected to it control the:

Choke Opener
HAC Valve (high altitude compensation)
Distributor venting VCV

thanks for the speedy response guys, looks like i can pick one up but im just going to seal the old one with RTV in the meantime.. it drives fine open so i dont see why it cant just be plugged.

JB Weld, if anything. Gasoline dissolves RTV.

Anybody know the thread size/pitch for that gas filter?

I'd like to go with something like this when I replace mine. Steiger Performance - Vacuum tree

Just need the right adapter.

Prolly the same as the oil pressure sender, then. Thanks
