I plan on adding locking hubs to my 77 BJ40. My current hubs extend out pretty far already.

So my concern is if I add locking hubs they will be exposed due to the length.

Any suggestions or pictures of what I should do. I know warn makes 2 different hub lengths.

You really aren't going to find locking hubs that are a lower profile than the drive flanges you have on it already. The only thing you could potentially do is get wheels with a deeper offset. I don't really know much about wheel offset, hopefully someone with more knowledge can advise you.

Think i will just get the hubs i found and run with it. Maybe someone can post a pic of what the warn 48771 looks like extended out so i have an idea. Just have to be cautious that i dont bump them into anything if they extend out too far!!

They are exposed somewhat. One of mine are damaged from something hitt

Unless you swap to newer Birfields, you'll need to use the longer hubs to match the stock Birfields your truck came with. 79+ have shorter Birfields.
