i have replaced the alternator and the voltage regulator but the charge / alternator light still remains on and battery is not charging

Can anybody point me in the right direction? Or suggest next thing to look at?

I figured it out!

There are 3 wires that connect to the male plug that goes into the back of the alternator

They were switched up, the blue and white and green and white were switched and therefore wasn't working

I cut the wires stripped them and switched them and the charge light went off and now charging at 13+ volts

I looked at a wiring schematic that I found online, it had the terminals in the 3 prong harness labeled on the back of the alternator configured to a specific colored wire. As I looked at it, I noticed that the wiring in the harness seemed to be mixed up. I cut and reconnected the wires and the charge light went off right away, then I checked the voltage and it was at 13+ volts where it was at 11 before. Then I knew that was the issue.
