Parting Out 1993 FZJ80 in Mid-TN
After many unsuccessful (and a few successful) attempts at buying parts on this board a friend and I decided to pick up a parts rig. Any parts we don’t need will be for sale in this thread. The cruiser is currently all stock and complete. It has 160k miles and is green w/ gray leather and has all options. The body is strait and rust free. The clear coat isn't great but overall it is in decent shape. The motor has a loud knock but it does run and there are no lights on on the dash. I'm tending the post, my buddy is pulling the parts so hopefully we'll do this right and get everyone what they need w/o letting the thread die. Below is a short list of things people typically want including prices and condition. Prices do not include shipping but offers are welcome. We will try to use flat rate boxes on heavy stuff and everything else will be sent as cheaply as possible w/ no inflated shipping costs. If a part won’t fit in a box we would prefer local pick up…at least for now. If you don’t see what you’re looking for let me know and I’ll check out the part and get you a price and picture if requested.
-Mirrors: DS glass is out of mirror w/ broken tabs (the glass is not broken), PS complete but wobbly: $30 ea
-Interior: Center console $70, Sun Visors (no sags) $40, Steering column cover is busted sorry; The interior is all there so just let me know what you want and I’ll check it out for you.
-Drive train: Axles: I’m not sure which ones we are going to keep yet. We have 2 sets of locked and 1 set open. Locked we’ll be looking for $1500 for everything; Open will be $800. Email me on axles…we should have a better idea which set we’re selling by the end of the week. Engine: The head is probably good but we’re not ready to pull it yet. Tranny: good but not ready to pull. T-Case: good but not ready to pull. We would like to keep it driveable as long as possible so we can move it around if needed.
-Exterior: Rear Mud flaps: $25 ea.; Flares: The weather stripping is shot and the rears have some garage door paint on them: $45 ea.; Running boards $100; Roof rack $100; Antenna is broken.
-A/C: Condition unknown…the belt is off the compressor but the underside of this truck is extremely clean and rust free. Condenser $65; I assume the compressor is bad but I don’t know for sure.
-Seats: $200 per row with all hardware. The fronts are ripped and rears are decent.
-Switches: Dash: $25 ea.; Windows: $45 for driver door $25 for the rest
-Lights: $55ea. for tail lights, $35ea. for corner flashers, $30ea. for valence flashers, $65ea. for headlights
-Wheels: We have 20 of them between us so let me know how many you want: $65ea. for fair condition. We haven’t decided if we’re ready to part w/ the pristine set yet but if somebody wants them it might help us decide.
I tried to price everything on par with what I’ve seen on this board but if something seems unreasonable let me know. The best way to contact me is email (click my name and “send email”) but I’ll do my best to keep up with the thread. If you send emails I’ll have a record and a time (for “dibbs” purposes) and they won’t get deleted like PM’s when my mailbox fills up. I can take Paypal (but it adds 3%), money orders, or checks (they’ll have to clear first). I think that’s all for now, Thanks.

The motor has a pretty bad knock so it's probably only good for the head. We are trying to keep the truck moveable as long as possible but eventually we will sell the drivetrain components.
On the topic of drivetrain: The cruiser does have lockers but for now we are keeping them. My buddy is shopping for another FZJ80. If he finds one w/o lockers these will go in it and we'll have a set of open axles for sale. If he finds one w/ lockers these axles will be for sale. I will post up as soon as we know what is happenig re: the axles.

The steering wheel is black but it's not in very good shape...electrical tape and a wal-mart cover on it. I'll see if I can get pictures if you all are still interested. Maybe $50...no idea what its worth.

I'd like the vehicle speed sensor (that plugs into the transfer case)
Can easily be removed in under 5 minutes.
PM me a price and it'll fit in a tiny box for cheap shipping.

Well...I'm not sure it all went at the same time. Right this cruiser and his cruiser are on jack stands in the shop for an axle swap. Once they are back together I'll see if we can swap the sensors and see if they are both good.

Yes but we may need it. My buddy is chasing a gremlin in his transfer case. The CD isn't locking but I don't think its the actuator...no abs light, no diff lock light, and no locked diff with the CDL switch or w/ t-case shift. If anybody has any ideas they would be appreciated.
