Ace Hareware Paint Job

I'm going to be spray painting my roll cage with the ace/ rostrum lacker paint (50 dollar paint job). Dose anyone know the spraypaint to mineral spirit ratio for a sprayer?

have you bought the paint? what kind of sprayer?

I'd look on the Can for mixing suggestions.

I mix Rustoleum Prefessional about 10-15% w. mineral spirits when I'm spraying it. lays down nice, but any thinner and it runs, any thicker and its oarnge peel everywhere.

so you think a 5 (ace paint) to 1 (mineral sprites) would be good? Is cheep HB sprayer one quirt

you should try that mix on a practice surface, ans see how it does. Then adjust it from there - either thicker or thinner.

I concur with hawk. You need to start out a little thick, then add your thinner. End of story,.

i mix ace paint / thinner / hardener at a 8:2:1 ratio wouldnt try anything else

Well I took the plunge this weekend and tried my hand at painting. I painted my roll cage. I did one coat and im going to check it out today after work and see now it came out. Ill try to get some shots of it today.
