Bumped front axle pumpkin, now socket issue
So after looking carefully at my front axle, I realized that I will have to shave some metal off the circle area which protects the gear oil drainage nut. I must have landed the axle pumpking on a rock hard enough to dent the circle lip which now makes it tuff for the socket to sit on the nut..
Any tips on how I can do this? Shave enough metal to clear the way? __________________ James 97 FZJ80, "La Mula" DD, ARB, Tire Carrier, Sliders, OME 850J/863 springs, L shocks, 295/75/R16, Slee TC Skid Plate, Rear Storage, CB, LEDs, SS Brake Lines, Rear work lights, GPS, HIRs Highs&Lows "Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder." |

Most of the time I grind it back with a carbide burr in a die grinder, but some times go medieval and knock it out of the way with a hammer and punch/chisel.
