wheel prep for rattle can paint?

What is the best product to clean wheels for prep for a rattle can paint job? These are 100 series factory wheels. I will be painting them on the truck. Thanks,

I used Acetone to prep my cneter caps. Acetone will taker off the clear coat...but I wouldn't let it get on your tires.

If there is paint on them, then just use a typical paint stripper and wire brush them. Or you can sandblast them which is easier but more expensive. It not, then use rust bullet metal blast which cleans and etches the metal so that paint adheres really well. I used it on my rims and it worked great.
