Which is least expensive?
Howdy,
I have at least few quarter-sized holes in rockers and rear quarters on both sides. I discovered them when fiddling with rust bubbles. I'd show pics, but I did the world's worst job of (temporarily) Bondo'ing them. Given that I don't have the tech skills to fix them myself, which would be cheaper, paying a welder to patch a bunch of holes, some of which are on seams or buying rockers and rear quarters and having them welded in. My goal is preservation, not restoration. Thanks __________________ 1970 Fj40. Mostly stock...for now. |

I'd take it to a welder and ask. They'd have a much better idea of how much work it would be to patch the holes versus welding on a new skin.
Or you could post pics of your really ugly bondo. ![]() Dan __________________ 1976 HJ-45 (needs restoration) http://forum.ih8mud.com/fj45-owners-...self-into.html 1991 "Faux-Lux"Pickup 4x4 2LT-E/R-150f http://forum.ih8mud.com/79-95-toyota...onversion.html "Dandelions.
