fj40 door pin removal
I am having trouble removing the hinge pins from my doors- they hit the raingutter on the side of the windshield before they come out. I dont mean a little bit-they lack3/8" from clearing. I am repainting so I wiggled and tapped them out, galling and chipping the paint on the gutters. I know there is a correct way to do this ,I've gotta figure it out before I re-install the hard doors. Thanks!

Mine seem to clear ok so I wonder if your rain gutter is bent back? First of all the none destructive version is to take off the hard top undo the front window and fold it forward. Option Two you could get your grinder out and trim a little off of each end depending on how OCD you are about the appearance. ? shorten it up a little off the bottom and then take some off one side on the top so that the head part still has enough lip to hold the pin in but will allow you to slide it in . baffling.
