My kid let his bike fall over!

My kid let his bike fall over on the DS door of my black 99. It left a couple of scratches through the paint down to what looks like a white layer beneath. I thought it had been keyed at first. Is there anyway to do some touch up painting on this and have it come out?

There are actually a number of thing that you can do. First of all I probably wouldn't use the brush in bottle of touch up paint. If you choose to go the touch up paint route get a fine tiped brush. It all depends on how deep the scratch is. Sometimes it just better to go over it with some rubbing compound and finish up with some wax. You can also call your insurance company and have them deal with it.

In order for it to complelely disappear you need a Professional body/Paint shop to do it.

If you just want it back to the same color, Your Toyota Dealer probably has your color in a touch up bottle.

turtle wax makes a black coloured polish product. Comes with a lipstick of black too. The whole polish is black. Use that and the scratches will be negligible to see.
