rust bullet over one step on my frame?
Im going to hand paint the frame that was coated with marhyde one step rust converter. Can I just sand the surface lightly and paint or is that even necessary? I have never painted metals so I'm not sure how well rust bullet sticks to one step, or a rust converter coating for that matter.

When I rebuilt my axle I sandblasted the knuckles then put a couple coats of RB on; it's tough stuff for sure.

Their site says sand everything prior to application. One Step is phosphoric acid diluted with water, and turns all the rust black and kills it dead. I guess I'll sand then spray on the RB. Two coats. Did you topcoat it with something else?
