POR over stainless
I'm replacing my rear bumper cross member on my bj42 frame, I've done them in Stainless.
http://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series...-question.html My original plan was to brush and cover the frame with POR15, when i notice the cross member i decided to replace them. You shouldn't have to worry about rust on stainless, just tarnishing with age. Coat around the stainless to seal the regular steel, though.
