Suggestions on undercoating

There has been much chat as to what not to use for my undercoating on the 40.
What would any of you suggest I use, I have been happy with POR-15 products, A lot of locals pooh pooh it, Im trying to drag out what they do like, But in the mean time I would like to hear what any of you have to offer.
This is what I am painting...

Thanks

I am going to go with the SEM bedliner product myself for my 69 project. I do think however that the POR product would do an outstanding job. That stuff is tuff! I have used it on my frames...

x2 on SEM products. I use their flat rust inhibitor for lots of metal work. I like it very much.

my god man, that is a fantastic blast job. My guy is using a heavy 2-component urethane primer as tuff as undercoating. I can get the name if you like.

That blast job needs to be a reference for those in the future looking to see WHAT it should look like.

I see not grey
I see no dark spots at all.
And it appears whitishpefect.

Go with the 2 step that he advised above

Thanks for the kind word's, If you see any darker lines near the center of the body, Its from a tarp I covered it with for the ride home.
I would love to hear about the 2 step urethane.
Thanks

I hope it works, The guy at the paint shop said people have been very happy with it, Its grey, But I was told I could paint it what ever color i wanted to afterword.
I will get some pic's when I get some work done.

again-You have a fabulous subststrate to work with. Most of these people have crap(like me). Any kind of a 2 component primer/finish will work. "Etching" is a body man misnomer unless you have bondo...

Thanks I guess the money I paid for it 12.5 years ago has paid off
I walked into the garage for the first time since Mon.....all looks great I may give it another coat on the fenders and bib, But all the rest looks fabulous! The smell on the other hand is STILL overwhelming...
Im trying to decide if I should get a gloss paint to cover all the parts or not, I wanted a semi gloss or flat, But I didnt want to have future mud and what not stick.
Any thoughts?

Figured I would go out and take a few pic's for posterity sake...

Welcome to my ever changing paint booth, Its amazing how a relatively small vehicle can take up 3/4 of a 4 car garage....

I am going to use Linex on both the entire underside of the tub and in the bed and floors of my BJ-43. That way I don't have to worry as much about anything chipping the underside.

Thanks for the info, I used Hippo liner on the inside of the tub, I just wanted a smoother surface on the firewall, I could really care less how smooth the underside is, Painting it all at one time is going to be the key issue.
Thanks again

Been a busy week so far, I got another mix of hippo line and only finished about 1/3 of what I wanted to do...

As you can see, I still need to get in the nooks and cranny's, But Im happy so far.

I think I may need at least 2 more mixes, To get the fenders, Bib and trans cover finished.

If I understand your note correctly, you are considering not recoating the epoxy...is that correct? I suggest you recoat any epoxy that is exposed to the sun. The U.V. rays will fade the color and gloss badly. This will happen in 3 - 6 months. Also, the 2-component epoxies are generally really tough and durable, which is good; but it also means you will need to scuff sand the surface before topcoating.

I was thinking that I needed another coat of primer on some areas, Then I wasnt sure if I wanted a smooth finish or a glossy finish from the paint, I went with the Hippo liner and as you can see its not smooth and kind of shinny, I dont like painting, I know the hippo is fairly idiot proof, So I went with that
I hope I answered your question
