Powder Coating Picts

I'm working on a 79 FJ40 light restoration and recently picked up the following parts at the my powder coater. I like the way this turned out. It's a better finish that paint. Much tougher! Average cost per part was about $10.00

Cool

You got a bumper powder coated for $10?!

Got a link to this guy?

Did that include prep work like sanding or media blasting?

Yeah no kidding, my guy would have charged me $30 or more just for the license bracket!

Coating

I had the following parts:

2 bumpers
4 rear steps
4 top hood hooks
2 front fame gussets
2 trangle peices that go on top of the front frame gussets
1 rear heater top
2 mirror arms
2 rear license plate caps
1 rear license plate holder
2 front license plate holders
2 metal seat backs

24 peices total for $125.00 which included all the blasting. - I however supplied the pewter powder and they supplied the black.

I thought it was a great deal. - Actually the average was more like $6 per part.

The place that did this for me was Sprayer Specialites in Grimes, Ia. Shipping parts in and back out would likely eat up your savings but if you're in Central Iowa....

I powder coat my own stuff but don't have an oven big enough for bumpers!

That was a GREAT deal!
