Mark your calendar, the 2008 East Coast Pig Run will be on Aug 8 & 9 at Rausch Creek.

We pig owners are a munificent group. We do not restrict attendees to just 55's.

So, please feel free to join us, no matter what you drive.

We are informal, we usually go out to eat on Friday night and we are on our own on Sat. Camping at Camp-A-While.

So the Sat. evening of the Pig Run '08..... I am going to throw myself a Going Away Party/cookout/drinkfest

Since I am moving out of PA at the end of Aug. this will be the perfect time to see me off and have some fun

There will be T shirts at the pig run!!!! Even though I have been unable to reach Chris Bashore who did quite an admirable job on Tshirts in years past, I am making arrangements for a local artist (friend of my daughters) to design a neat shirt. Actually the design for the back is finalized and the front is close. You'll like them, a bit different from Chris but interesting. I'll be sleling them for whatever they cost me. I'm getting fifty shirts- will get 40 XL and 10L unless someone tells me they need a size other than those two, but- I have to know by Friday about any size needed other than the two I listed. Good news, I have been able to cut back to ten hour shifts and have some time (and energy) after work to address the pig's axle (broken at the CMCC) and associated damage- axle bearing, seal, brake shoes, and I replaced the rear wheel cylinders. She's all back together now- drove her out of the garage a half hour ago! A little cleanup with the hose (that mud at Rausch Creek stinks!!!) and a sponge and she'll be ready for the event of the year (for pigs on the east coast, anyway!). Gary S

Looks like I will be getting in Friday mid pm -doing the hotel thing as my friend is bringing his kids and easier to keep them in line and out of peoples hair that way!
Only bringing 1 this year

Actually the shirts are in my piggy, tucked safely away in the cargo area. They are rreally neat I am quite happy with the way they turned out. $15 each, Haines Beefy-T's (best I could buy). Tomorrow if all goes well at work I'll be able to head to either Rausch orCamp-Awhile, socialize, and drink beer with the boys!!!! It's a beautiful thing...........Gary S

I got a dutch oven <snicker> today. I think I'm going to try my hand at a camp stew. Beef, taters, carrots..... Don't know what it will taste like but I'm willing to share.
