Good luck
all of the Honda forums I have seen are overly populated by 16-year-olds with attitudes. |

Removing the old engine and 4 speed and replacing it with a JDM 4 cylinder and 5 speed. Right now the the engine is about ready to be pulled, most electronics and hoses are removed I think it will be pretty straightforward. My first question is about the donor engine, it has been sitting for at least a year, should I tear it down before I put it in, are there any particular issues with these engines? I will get the spec's on the donor engine and post them up.

you should at least put the donor engine on a stand and check the rod bearings. pull the caps, then use this chart to determine the torque spec.
also you need to remove all the plugs and get a good amount of oil down there, before you turn the crank. you want enuff to last when you are checking the rods, and again, when you fire it up. __________________ Wristy check the FAQ! 1980 RN37 ![]() ![]() 1989 RN101 1986 RN64 Quote:

It is a DOHC V-tech, ZC series engine I believe. I was told it was from a 89-91 JDM Civic Si.
