Good luck

all of the Honda forums I have seen are overly populated by 16-year-olds with attitudes.

Removing the old engine and 4 speed and replacing it with a JDM 4 cylinder and 5 speed. Right now the the engine is about ready to be pulled, most electronics and hoses are removed I think it will be pretty straightforward. My first question is about the donor engine, it has been sitting for at least a year, should I tear it down before I put it in, are there any particular issues with these engines? I will get the spec's on the donor engine and post them up.

you should at least put the donor engine on a stand and check the rod bearings. pull the caps, then use this chart to determine the torque spec.

also you need to remove all the plugs and get a good amount of oil down there, before you turn the crank. you want enuff to last when you are checking the rods, and again, when you fire it up.

It is a DOHC V-tech, ZC series engine I believe. I was told it was from a 89-91 JDM Civic Si.
