Wire insulation repair?
Anyone have experience repairing insulation on mouse chewed wires. I'm thinking of "shrink wrap in a tube" or some other miracle product, but haven't found anything yet.
Anyhow, this is what I'm dealing with in a 2003 Silverado, I've ruled out replacing the whole harness ($$$$$$$$$$$$) and don't want to separate the wires (future relliability). This also explains little mysteries like: -Brake light would glow and not turn off occasionally...................no matter what I disconnected or took apart. ![]() -Truck would be off and sitting ............................... then you would here the fuel pump turning on and off. ![]() -Lights coming on in the middle of the night and draining the battery. ![]() __________________ Jim FJ25.com "The FJ25 is almost humorous in its simplicity, but therein lies its beauty." Liquid electrical tape. I have used it in the past to touch up some chaffing. Easy to use and pretty durable

That's what I pictured ......................... electric supply house?
Cool, parts houses suck around here, looks like the big-chain marine stores handle it though. Thanks! __________________ Jim FJ25.com "The FJ25 is almost humorous in its simplicity, but therein lies its beauty." Nina Padgett - Autoweek Last edited by Cruiser_Nerd; 05-17-08 at 06:49 PM. |
