Well you found as close to a club as your gonna get in NE ohio, I am Dave, There are a couple of other guys in Cleveland area, I am actually in Chagrin Falls area along with a few other guys. My Body shop is down in Streetsboro, What kind of repairs does he need?
My garage is open as space allows My shop gets kind of spendy.

Dave (or anyone else out there who can offer any insight),
I'm Ben & the son/FJ40 owner refered to in the original post.
There are two answers to the repaires needed:
Immediately I need some minor mechanical work to get it back on the road after about 2 1/2 yrs. of not being driven. I need the vacuum assist & starter to be installed (both of which I have) & a looking over to see if there are any rotten seals/leaks & that kind of stuff. I also need minor body work. Unfortunatly there are some spots starting to rust again most of which I will address over the winter/next year. However that paint needs rubbed out & a lot of the chrome & hinges are going to need surface cleaned or replaced.
Down the road: I need to repair several rust spots & need to repaint. I'm also planning on re-doing the suspension & probablly lifting some more but right now I just want to get her looking in decent shape & back on the road.
Any recommendations on reputable shops in NE Ohio (I live in Macedonia) from you Dave, or anyone else would be greatly appreciated. Ive had this fj40 for about 15yrs, my dad, brother & I restored it from the ground up over about a 2yr process. For a number of reasons I havent had it running in quite some time & almost had to get rid of it. Now I cant wait to get it back to, if not better then it once was.

Well, Do you have any way to trailer it? move it at all? I am pretty handy but am full of stuff to do for the next two weekends. If you can wait I will be more than happy to help you get it running at my place. If you have no way to get it running or move it from macedonia to I can have it brought down to the shop and in a few weekends can help you get it running. Shouldn't be more than $50 to get it to my shop.
If you can move it up to my place in Auburn Township we should be able to get it going in a few nights after work.

My garage will be open for "assistance" come august.
My shop doesn't have anyone qualified to rebuild knuckles but me.
And I am supposed to be managing it.

In my garage mid november for beer yes.
None of my guys really know what the hell they are doing on Toyota axles. I will be happy to help you out but if I do it it is on my time on the weekends.
This weekend I have my son, Next is halloween but if the weather sucks the weekend after that I will not be at Jeepskool and could give you a hand then. I have a heater in the garage so cold is not that big of an issue.
You have PM with my numbers.
We could pretend we are a real club and have anyone who wants to come and "help" show up if your game.
