Vegas Valley 4 Wheelers: Bulletin Board
E-mail from Dunes & Trails ATV Club
Good Morning,
Provided, in the attachment, is the route for the OHV ride this Saturday, April 19th.
The Route is as follows:
1) Meet and start at the BLM Fire station on Carpenter Canyon road at 9:00 am on Saturday, April 19th.
2) From the start to Wheeler Well (lunch area) is roughly 21 miles.
3) From Wheeler Well to Wheelers Pass is roughly 6 miles roundtrip.
4) Back down Wheelers Road to Highway 160 south back to the starting point on Carpenter Canyon Road is roughly 22 miles.
Since most of the Forest Service folks will be riding with 4x4 Clubs and members, Dunes and Trails will handle lunch with the assistance of anyone that would like to participate. The Vegas Valley 4-Wheelers have offered a budget to fund lunch and any costs exceeding that budget will be covered by the Dunes & Trails ATV Club. Lunch will be a BBQ at Wheeler Well with a menu of: Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Potatoes Salad, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans with some sweet goodies of some kind. Additionally we will provide cold soda, tea and water
The response to this weekends ride has been outstanding and should provide for a wonderful opportunity to get to know one another.
Provided is a rough estimate of the expected participants so far:
1) MC riders – should be about 6-10
2) ATV riders should be roughly 8
3) 4x4 rigs – (VV4W 20-25 vehicles) & (Jeep Junkies 10-15 vehicles)
4) Forest Service people - roughly 15
The estimated number of people is expected to be about 70.
