Bobcat Trail Fallon

This OHV trail is south of Steamshovel and Bolivia. It is a mild trail but has some nice views and from the top you can look down into Dixie Valley East and the Stillwaters to the West.

I think it is about 10 miles from east to west trailhead and only takes about half a day. It has a great camping area on the Dixie Valley side, just before the trail begins. Just before the pavement ends on the Dixie Valley Road, if you look back southwest the long straight road leads to the trailhead. It has a few steep parts and near the top there are roads to explore that lead to some old miner's cabins. It is a little hike to JOB Peak 8,785 feet.

Hey Mark, what is the most narrow spot on this trail? I doubt Brad would want to take the Cherokee on a "easy" type of ride, but he might take the chevy. That would be nice and comfy!! Maybe we can get a quick ride together in the plush wheelers....kinda like when you and Chris took the Taco's out to the race loop trail and me and Brad were bouncing around like rag dolls in my 40!!!! hahahaha

Yes, Brad can do it in his full size Chevy. There are some sharp corners where he may have to back up once or twice but any four wheel drive with decent ground clearance can do the trail. I want to go back and find the old cabin(s) up there. Just let me know when and I'm in.

Sounds good! It's just not worth being beat around and riding uncomfortably in a crawler when you can ride in style!! I'll give you a call tomorrow, me and Brad are going to swing by and drop that spare off to you after work.

Here are a few more pictures of bobcat trail. The one with the road on the side of the hill is kind of fun.
