Latest trail report on Deer Valley/Strawberry?

Hey guys,

Anyone been on that trail recently and can offer a report? Got a good friend and some acquaintances who may be headed that way this weekend.

Appreciate any help,

Keith

can't help with deer valley, but was on strawberry the sunday before yesterday in a mini on 33s, and the trail is clear. There is some snow to deal with, but nothing that will hang anyone in a toy up. There is a fair amount of water, and the resulting mud could make things somewhat interesting. Didn't see where a 40 or a decently built 60/62 would have much issue either. My 60 stayed home, BFG Bald Terrains don't work so good in the mud.

ATV's, on the other hand, had issues.. We pulled one off a snow pile that kept getting stuck.

There's still quite a bit on the peaks around carson pass. At least this year, strawberry still had a bunch of trees in somewhat tight, so there was a LOT of shade.

Then again, it was the sunday before yesterday that we went, and it was friday of this week that someone decided to crank the thermostat up. It was about 80 yesterday coming over carson pass at about quarter to 5 in the evening.
