Gnarly pics, but who changed their oil in the water hole where your partner had his seatbelt/harness trouble?
Definitely buggy territory. Wow.

That was Jeremy(ROCKAPE), his 4.3 Vortec was hating life while it was being winched up that waterfall. We all felt bad about the oil getting down in there, but that is one of the situations where there was nothing that could be done.
I tell you Jack, this trail is amazing. The best part is, IT NEVER GETS RAN!! The water moved alot of stuff around since they ran it last, making the easy spots hard, and the harder easier. It is so constant too! You can't take your eyes off the trail whether your driving or as a passenger. It was especially fun for me with my bum arm trying to hold on as best I could.

Maybe something like this would be in order for the future?
PIG® ORIGINAL Absorbent Socks #404

Plug the exhaust up with it??? The tip of the exhaust was pointing right over the water when it started smoke machine mode, that wouldn't have helped much. That is a pretty cool little piece of equipment though, I may have to grab some up for my garage.

That is essentially the same thing they use to clean up oil spills on water, just sweep the surface then bag it up and haul it home.

Oh yeah, I have seen those before. Wouldn't be a bad idea to have those around huh?

Heres a better one
Oil Spill Kits For Response To Absorbing Oil Only
I heard a rumor that eventually trails like Rubicon will require that every rig carry a PET toilet and an oil spill clean up kit. Actually not a bad idea when you think about it.

Definately not a bad idea, especially if it helps keep our trails open. People sometimes whine about some o the stipulations we have to go thru to wheel, but if it they close down "meca spots" like the 'Con, they will change their tune!!

And maybe just because it's the right thing to do?

PIG SOCKS!!! AWESOME. I still have a couple of pair that I wear on my feet. They make my feet look like pigs feet. I got a couple of freebies thrown in on a couple $G order for the mine when I worked in Empire, whew flipping 17 years ago. Hmm, maybe I should buy some new socks....
BTW N-towne Wally Mart has the throw down oil pads for $0.50 each on the clearance aisle, at least they did yesterday.
