Found a bobbed FJ55 whatcha think?

So saw this and I am interested
It is in Cali and I have not gone down to see it yet

Would need to find someone to do the rear glass and interior roof/upholstering/lining

Has a chevy 350 and is on 37's, heres his email when I asked him what else was needed

When I say attention, specifically referring to someone who has time for all the little things.

The cruiser runs like a sewing machine; in fact, I had the q-jet dialed in this spring and it's never run smoother. Around august I pulled the brackets off the motor to swap in a serpentine pulley system and replace the pulley driven fan with a Taurus electric fan, but haven’t yet completed that project due to a lack of time to devote to it. I’ve started a few times without the fan, for a minute or so, just to keep fluids running through it. Other than that, an example of the little things include; wiring (head lights and brake lights need re-connection), bolting the cage down, interior panels, touch up welds, etc. It runs and drives as is perfectly fine; however, there’s a list of things including the fan and wiring that I’ve wanted to do for quite a while but just don’t have the time.

Here are a few pics.

What do you guys think?
He was asking 5k

Wiring may be a good size project. I've found the wires are often corroded at the connector . You also might want to find out what he's using for a fuel tank, since the stock tank is in the section that got cut. I haven't dealt with the pulley system yet, I'm just starting to look at it on mine. That can get complicated because the frame is pretty narrow. Looks fun!

Not bad, but I don't think I would give him 5k for it. Too much left to do for a "running/non-running" rig. Nice project, but considering how little he really has into it and how much is still left to do to make it reliable, I would low ball him. Maybe $3500. Remind him that you would have to finish the interior, wiring, get custom glass made, etc...

I agree, I hate wiring and anything to do with it. Will is our resident 55 expert, he has two of them.

The wireing is easy buy a aftermarket kit ($200 to 400 depending where you get it) takes about a weekend, no computer to mess with. Glass is simple all flat, any glass shop can do it and it shouldn't be to much. Interior can get expensive just depends what you want.

5K...He's smokin CRACK!
NO FRIGGIN WAY. Ive seen running rigs, in better shape going for less than that. It looks bad ass, but its waaaaay too high of a price, and you could potentially be getting into a MESS depending how the work was done.
There is a NICE 40 in TT going for 7.5 K. I know its not a family hauler, but something for reference.
