Coyote Springs 1/24/09

Meeting Time:8:45 Leave Time: 9:00 am

Meeting Location: Wadsworth Smoke Shop. Take the Wadsworth exit off I80.

Trail Difficulty: 1

Additional Equipment needed:This is a scenic day run. There a lot of roads in the area so this would be a good run to practice GPS navigation on.

Does 'Trail Difficulty 1' mean suitable for my wheezy cherokee w/ street tires?

I'm down... hopefully I can get my rear drive shaft all figured out... getting rid of the PITA double cardan for a standard 2 joint shaft.

Even a Jeep, err I mean a rig with street tires should make this trail. The last time I was on this one, I'd say it was similar to a forest service road. There is potential for gooey mud and snow, but that's always the case.

I'm out, we have some house things we have to do this weekend, picking up some furniture, etc. Tomorrow is the only day I have to do it.

Have fun.

Shawn and I had a great time. I'll post some pictures later. Almost no mud, just a few puddles. Fantastic scenery with the low level clouds.

It was a great day, that area will be on our list of places to go when mud season hits. The soil is the perfect blend of sand, gravel and dirt. The conditions today were perfect, just enough moisture to keep the dust down and soften things up but not enough to make it messy.

I got by with the $5 wash when I got home.
