It was a good weekend considering
Considering my son was out of town and I never got to use low range or 4WD it was still a good weekend.

I got a project completed
The clamp came from Sierra Welding supply, $25 ![]() Keith did the welding, sweet welds. ![]() Saturday Jo drug me out to Yard sales, they were doing a big group sale up on Foothills Road. I wasn't having much fun until I found this and talked the guy down from $10 to $5 ![]() ![]() It's not a Hi Lift, it's a Handyman. The guy was very cool, he was born in Golonda and worked for the phone company for years, he used the jack almost daily when he worked. He spent most of his time in remote areas off road. Sounds tough.

BTW that jack works better than a lot of new Hi-Lifts I've seen. The last owner took very good care of it, I don't think he had used it in years but it was still oiled up and ready. In the photo you can see how the handle is polished up from years of use. Other than a couple of drops of 3-in-1 oil I don't plan to do a thing to it.

Very nice score on both items.
The jack even matches the 40, that's pretty cool. Jack __________________ KE7NCK 1996 FZJ 80 (explorer) 2002 F350, PSD, 6SPD,4X4,CC, LWB (hauler) 1995 Mazda MX-6 (speedster) |

Oooooo...I'm GREEN with envy
. Seriously: Nice find. Is the jack tall enough to get your 40 lifted?

![]() I didn't think about it until I was down at Sierra welding picking up the clamp but the ONLY tanks you EVER see painted green are O2. I might give it a coat of black just in case I ever get in a wreck. I wouldn't want any emergency folks getting their jockies in a knot for nothing. __________________ Dan Johnson Quote:
