I didn't believe them

Some of you may remember when I was looking for a replacement for my 60 I was debating an 80 or a 100. Several people warned me that if I got the 100, I'd be in danger of losing it to the wife. I didn't believe them. I should have.

Danise's friend was visiting last week so she needed the space of the 100 to haul her friend and all the kids around. Danise is not a very confident driver and was nervous about driving it at the beginning of the week. By the end of the week, though, she was very confident with it. She actually told me that she really liked driving it. It has tons of room and she said she feels very safe driving it, like she's in a fortress. It doesn't feel as big as it really is and has surprisingly car-like handling on-road. She mentioned how she liked being up above the rest of the traffic. I reminded her that it gets half the fuel mileage of her car and she reluctantly accepted that she'd keep driving the Accord.

Just a few minutes ago she walked by while I was on MUD and it must have jogged her memory. Out of the blue she said "Man I really miss driving the Cruiser." I'm getting really worried now. She hasn't driven it in a week and is missing it.

All the better. More justification for Danise for you to get a an 80, build the shit out of it and wheel the crap out of it.

Funny guy. Know anybody that will trade an 80 for an '89 Camry?

She seemed intimidated for the first block when she test-drove mine, but she quickly got over it.

Tell her one night she can take it tomorrow. Sneak out in the middle of the night, let the air out of one of the tires (one easily visible when she goes out). Unless she doesn't mind changing tires, she will take the car. Problem solved. Drawback though, she may have you change it.

Since I don't drive it to work, she could take it whenever she wanted. But since she's terrible at judging distances and parking straight in the garage, I'm sure I'd know if she'd moved it.

That is why you make it look disabled and let her think you want her to take it. She won't want to drive it, if something keeps happening to it. Just don't lie that you had anything to do with it. Crap, I need to keep my mouth shut, I am going through enough drama already and none of it is mine.
