camping July 15-19
i'm going camping again. anyone want to join us? i plan to go out next wed., but we can meet anyone that wants to come out thurs or Fri...or Sat. for that matter.
no sure where yet, that is up for debate with whoever wants to go. let's do it! sorry Jon, i know that is also the weekend you are putting the body back on Da'40. anyone? Bueller...Bueller?

mainly camping. we usually hit the Jemez up between Fenton and Cuba. there's some very cool spots in there that i can even get my long Ford into that you'll see nobody all weekend. let us know!

I'll bring my map of the area so you can show me where you'll likely be. We will be up there at the Girl Scout camp on Saturday and Sunday but might leave early and do some exploring of the same area it sounds like you will be camping in.

There are many sweet solitary camping spots in the Jemez. If you look at the terrain and sky and not the obstacles (fallen trees) you can see many old fire roads - if you put the obstacles back after you go through you have an even better chance of no one following you in. Lots of firewood close by as well.
Hopefully in mid-August we'll host a camping trip / free firewood weekend, but we're too busy with family reunion stuff before then. We'll have details at the August meeting.
