Inyo County Board of Supervisors to Hold Wilderness Meetings

Date: 06/18/2008 BLUERIBBON COALITION ACTION ALERT!

Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,

Attention California and Nevada recreationists!

We just received an email from Greg Weirick over at Advocates for Access to Public Lands (AAPL). He asked us to get the word out to all our members and supporters about public meetings being held next week on a 500,000 Wilderness proposal in Mono and Inyo counties. We want to thank AAPL for becoming new members of BRC.

I have pasted Greg's email below, please take a couple of minutes to read it over, and then pass it along to everyone you know.

JUST REMEMBER, PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT IS CRUCIAL TO KEEP RECREATION AREAS OPEN, PLEASE GET INVOLVED!

Thanks in advance for your support,
Ric Foster

Hello,

Below is a link to an AAPL flier promoting attendance at the two Inyo County Board of Supes Wilderness Bill Public Meetings. Boxer, Feinstein and Mckeon Staff will be present as well, to hear the public's feelings on this all-important issue. The meetings are at 4 pm on Tuesday, June 24th and Wednesday the 25th.

The Tues. meeting is in Independence at the American Legion Hall and the Wed. meeting is in Bishop at the Fairgrounds. Don't worry about coming after work as the meetings will be going into the evening.

Please help spread the word by either printing some of the fliers and handing them out, or by sharing the date, time and place of the meetings.
