Trying to line things up with SO to come for breakfast and first part of the day but won't be able to stay for the whole thing. My starter keeps acting up (need to put in new contacts and plunger), but otherwise rig is good to go except for cleaning out the landscaping flotsam left over from the weekend.

GREAT... This event has been all the Hubby and I have talked about. We can't wait to meet other Cruiser owners, We can't wait to get all the Cruisers together.. This is going to be a lot of fun. Looks like we are going to have a pretty good group for our first "Reunion."
Tym.. Have you if Roy is still coming? R.K. may not be able to make it, but the Hubby and I are going to see if we can help him get the work done so he can join us on Sat.

Carolina Diner sounds good to me, then it's just a 1/2mile or so east on 40 to get to 85 so not it's not far outta the way. What say the Raliegh and East end folks??
I haven't heard from Roy. Yanno you'd think he had my $50 the way he's dodging me.. heh
Is there someway to get in touch with BDOR about the event? I sure would like to confirm that they'll have some sort of rock garden or something. If not I'd much rather drive the 60.

ok guys, how does Carolina diner off I-40 and high point road....take the four seasons/high point rd exit and head north (hooters will bo on the right just off the exit.....take High point rd a few blocks and Carolina diner is on the left hand side....we were thinking of being there around 0830. That way we have an hour to eat and then 30 min to make it to High point. does this sound good to those making the trip?

This one?
Carolina's Diner
2700 High Point Rd
Greensboro, NC 27403
Sorry, us "east enders" don't know our way around. Got confused 'cause there's a Carolina Diner on Eastchester in High Point off Main St as well that Horsehead mentioned...

Yes that is the address of the diner. The one in High Point is a bit out of the way (get off 85 onto Main, go past BDOR, turn onto hwy 68 same as Eastchester. Or I-40 to Hwy 68, and right before Main is Carolina Diner.) I think the one off High Point Road will be easier for everyone to find, plenty of parking, we can take a right at the light when we leave, and is close to I-40.
If anyone has questions just call us (Eric "Erymer" and Stacy) 336.509.8703
So this Carolina Diner is good for everyone... GREAT

Still working out the "details". We have one daughter coming back from camp in Louisburg, due back around 1pm so would like her to just stay with the family that's bringing her back until "we" get back from High Point (which in itself puts a limit on the length of the stay). A second daughter is unlikely to want to come to a 4x4 event (I'm so jealous of Romer) and have to decide if we want to leave her at home for most of the day on Saturday.....
I'm pretty much bent on coming regardless as a delayed Father's Day present to myself...

Carolina Diner in G'boro is waay more out of the way for me than the one on eastchester, but I'll live I suppose. 8:30 is so early for the one day i get to sleep in, but I guess I'll quit my whining... Count me in!

Hey I got ZERO sleep last night and I am here at work, trust me I don't want to be here either.. Just think about it, BDOR is FUN... You should be up bright and early, ready to go.. LOL Just kidding.. I am not a morning person and I love to sleep in. The time was the hubby's idea.. But like you said, I'll deal and stop whining.

Stacy I appreciate the offer but we can not leave our baby (Dog ) in the house so long. We will get up early on saturday and meet there at the diner...We thought about taking him on our trip but we rather leave him so to make life easier on us and him . That way we can just dedicate our time to enjoy the trip.

Worldcruiser- Eric and I know what you mean. We currently have 4 kids(dogs). I thought about bringing Rosey with us to BDOR, but without knowing what is or isn't going to be there, not sure I want to put us and her thru it this time. Maybe next year.

At this point I intend to bring Boris, aka trail dawg. Since I've elected to tow, I have room for accessories, parts, and pets, heh.

I'll probably be leaving around 7am Saturday. My plan is to hop on 40 from 15-501. What route are you considering?
PM me if you want to work out details or send email to zcruiser at mindspring dot com

JT outfitters is not going to the show and they don't know anything about it.
I just called to tell them to bring some of the Grey paint for the wheels down to the show and they did not know anything about it! Oh well.
