I got a drivers seat tool box cover that is in good shape with some surface rust if anyone wants it. I can ship this thing as it is not too big / heavy.

What kind of tool box cover? Do you have a picture? Do you think it will fit under my '77 driver's seat?

I doubt it, but I am intersted if you think it might.

Its also for an older model 40. You would have to fab up an entire other part for your truck.

Everyone, I probably should not have posted yet, but I wanted to see what kind of market there will be for parts before I take on this venture. IF and WHEN it happens, (likely within a couple of weeks) I will start posting more details. In the meantime, I want to see if there is any real interest in a couple of the "bigger" items. I will sell everything on a first come, first served basis assuming the buyer gets me money in hand in a reasonable timeframe.

Rolling Chassis from '78
This is the description I got from the PO:

1978 FJ40, titled and registered in North Carolina.

She was running when I bought her, the 4-wheel drive worked, so the drive train seemed pretty functional. The tub and rear cross member had severe rust and rot and the interior was pretty much trashed. I’ll try to be as accurate as to the condition, and what I recollect I sold or was missing, but it’s been two years since I’ve touched it.

Frame, axles, transmission, transfer case, and motor, all functioned prior to teardown. With the exception of replacing the rear cross member and spring hangers (steel-fab reproductions) the chassis is rolling and has not been touched. The frame and all components are in really good shape, with little or no rust.

4" BDS Lift Kit
I've got 2 people "in line" so far that have expressed interest.

1 dash / cowl, stripped and in good shape

All heating, box, tubes, ext, no rear heater

Now's the time to get "in line" if you think you will be interested in any of this stuff. Prices are not set yet, but will be very reasonable and based on current market pricing for similar items sold on MUDD. I'm trying to keep most of the stuff local pickup to avoid the headache of shipping, so that's why it's going to be listed here way before I head to the MUDD forsale forum.

Thanks,
Ramon Weller

FJ40 parts for sale

Hi all, I need to clear some garage space and free up some cash flow so I have some FJ40 parts for sale, not sure what model they came off of. I picked them up to fix my 40 when I got it. I can send pics if needed.

Fenders L & R with late model turn signals attached (some rust in the lower section near the running boards but very solid) : $100

Drivers side fender apron (some surface rust) : $25

Rear half doors L&R with hinges (no rust, latch has some wear): $200

1979 FJ40 parts:

Mirror assemblies and mirror heads (heads have some cracking in the plastic but still usable) $40

Rear drum brake assemblies from a 79: Make offer

Anyone have an extra 265/75/16 tire in halfway decent shape that would last me about a year? One of my current ones has a nail in it and is not repairable. So I'm trying to find something that will hold me over for another year until I upgrade to 285's.

I am not in NC, but Hampton Va. is close.

1st on the list of 4 sale stuff:

FJ60 dics brake knuckles. COMPLETE. Hubs (Aisins), spindles, Rotors (probably need replaced) calipers, Knuckles, Birfs, axle shafts, and FJ60 housing. Needs knuckle/trunion bearings, and all the seals. MAKE A REASONABLE OFFER!!! PICK-UP ONLY!!!!!!

D60 rear axle. BOM numbers are: 881c-605413 ICK I do not know the gear ratio (should be 4.10 though), nor do I know the WMS to WMS (it is wider than 60" though). It is from a '89 E350 van. and is a Full Floater. It also has the drum brakes still attatched, but the cable has been cut. $100 PICK-UP ONLY
