Guys and Gals,

I was approached by the TLCA to help promote the TLCA and ONSC at the Rockvember Event at Uwharrie Nov 6-8th. I posted the request on the BOD forum and we agreed that we can be there to help promote TLCA.

The event is being held at the Uwharrie Stables across from the Outpost and is pretty much focused around Sat. I have recruited 3 or 4 volunteers to be there along with Jon Sourbeer of TLCA. Jon is bringing all the stuff to promote the TLCA (shirts, stickers, applications, dash plaques, Toyota Trails mags, banners, etc) and we will be there to promote the NC chapter, the Olde North State Cruisers.

We have everything covered in equipment needs at this point. We are still looking for someone who has a laptop w/cellular data access so that Jon can process TLCA application payment via PayPal.

We will be looking to bring at least 2 ez-up awning/tents, I'm bringing a TV to show a slideshow/video of our events, we will give away some event t-shirts (leftovers) and would love a showing of Landcruisers for all to see. I'd love to have one of each "vintage" and various "formats". If we could only convince Barry to risk his "prize possession" for a drive down to URE for the day, that would make a rarely seen attraction.

This is a late notice thing and don't expect people to feel obligated to be there. The trails will be very busy if they get the amount of people to show up they are expecting. Thought the bulk of the events are surrounding the stables, I'm sure the trails will be clogged.

Yet, we would love to show our support for the TLCA as a club and the host chapter for the event...

I have an verizon aircard that we can use. Not sure on the dates just yet - I might just be a Sat only guy vs all weekend.

As a devoted NCSU fan, I will be in Carter Finley watching our defense allow another career day for the opposition :(

I will most likely be in the same boat as Ramon... We may make Maryland look like a Nat'l Champion if we keep up the play we've had as of late.

I can bring either the 80 or 100 series depending on which is more appropriate for the collection. :)

It would be nice if we could get some reprints from TLCA of the Spring Tide Ride article. Maybe something in a larger format (poster, etc.), for viewing by visitors. It would go nicely with a display of the t-shirt...

Even if we can't park the rigs near the booth, if we can get a section of a parking area, that would be great.

I doubt the booths are going to be anywhere near the parking area. I'm not sure how this one will be set up but past events i've been to out there are park in the field (the one across from the outpost) and the booths are by the actual stables (large red building)

I'd say bring the hundy since you will most likely be the only one going with that vintage. Would be cool if the toyota dealer putting this one would lend us a 200 for the booth :grinpimp:

If the booth allowed us for six or seven that would be cool. That would leave us room for a 40, 45, 55, 60, 80, 100 and an FJC and I think that with the people that posted up saying they or their rigs could go we could fill that.
Greg said someone could maybe drive the 55 out there. I'm going to put some 39 inch boggers on mine and let Logan take it out there.
The 60 and 45 might be the only problem

Here's where Barry and Jason T. chime in!!

I know Jason will be out there but they now have two 80's to drive out there :grinpimp:

Depending on weather i could bring the 45 up on the trailer. Its not the best but it will work in a pinch. I am off that weekend, just have to get the lift installed in the garage on the 6th. I also have the 60.

I've now been asked if we have an RTI ramp to show off some of the crazy, flexy vehicles we all drive. Wonder if it is worth the time to get that ramp from Greg and "doll it up" enough to use...

That might work well Darin. Make sure the lift is in, that has to be a big priority, at least if it were me it would be...
