November Monthly Meeting 11/14 High Point

Ok folks, time is getting near

Ryan Barnard has graciously offered his place to host the November meeting.

661 Nove Ave
High Point NC 27265

Brian and Steve, sent you a pm about your HAMOM plans. Let me know what youve decided.

Things to cover:

HAMOM?
BOD meeting
Monthly meeting (cookout dinner)

I am still trying to get in touch w/ a paintless dent repair tech to come help us but I need to hear back about the HAMOM plans to make sure we arent trying to tackle too much at one meeting.

If the axle builders are planning to tackle that as a separate party during the day then we can plan to wrap that up and head over to Ryan's for the afternoon meeting. Steve we can get a jump start on yours the night before if this idea works out.

We need a garage space and electricity for the PDR
Im guess the axle builds will need a garage or EZ up tent and level clean ground at the least, but would probably prefer a garage as well.

So that said, if the Hamom guys are trying to group together w/ the meeting we need to know as there is probably only room or reason to try one of these.

Just a note:

We have found in the past that if the tear downs can happen the prior evening on the front axles it makes for a much easier process during the day. I am willing to help out the prior evening if someone needs. This also eliminates the need to find out the day of that something dosen't want to budge or is rusted.

I think the BOD meeting should be set for around 2:30 and the meeting around 4.

yup, i offered to help steve start the tear down. Brian is a different story as he needs to drive here.

I dont see getting two done by 4 unless they are going on side by side simultaneously. Definately dont mind be proven wrong here. I just know how mine went.

Yeah we were able to make it happen working side by side at Ramons, and that was one truck tore down friday night and one completed start to finish saturday. But yes we had the people to work side by side

I'm game with driving mine up to the same location, TBD, to start the tear down if that helps everyone out. If somebody will offer a couch to crash (um pass out on), that makes it even easier! Plans have not been set in stone, Stephen and I just agreed upon a date...

I think that they might be on there? I will take a pic and sent it to you. I do need to order-up a new set of U-bolts. I can do that tomorrow.

but you will also need to probably get the frame mount eyelet bushing set, yours are likely worn out.

3 projects and we'll be running out of garage space, someones wrenching in the street or driveway. Not discouraging it all, bring it on, just letting you know. Maybe we can finish up the 55 too

I will plan on attending. Don't know if the schedule permits another front axle rebuild. If not I can assist where ever needed-cleanup if necessary.

Just need to know what to bring since it will be my first. Looking forward to meeting some of the 100lb brains here on mud!

CRAP! I can't keep track. So are we doing 3 front axle rebuilds and a Spring lift? I wasn't planning on comming but it is only a bit over 2 hours and looks like some hands are going to be needed.

Mike (Axle)
Brian (Axle)
Steve (Axle)
Brett (lift)

I'd like to see a front axle rebuild but I would like to help Brett get that lift on (Selfish reasons mainly becuase it will look bad ass). That and I know I can do that and actually be helpful.

Not sure how much driveway space is there but I can bring some air tools if someone has an air splitter so we can run multiple tools off of gregs air compressor. I could bring mine but it won't fit well in the cruiser if I bring that. I could also bring my hose if there is another compressor there. I will bring my small plumbing torch as well to help out.

Just let me know what I can bring.

Brett, if you have the bushings then bring those and the springs and we can decide on site if we want to tackle it, I have on-board air so that could speed things up and means we could also do it pretty much wherever.

Grease for the birfs valvoline palladium, grease for the wheel bearings mobil one.
towels and cleaner, lots of both is a good idea

I'm gonna snag as many knuckle studs/cone washers as I can to replace at least the lowers, if not all... Then I'm going to be a loctite fiend! I'm NOT having any of them loosen up on me anymore!
