Dog needs a home.

I know this isn't Petfinder.com, but I also know there are some dog lovers on here.

Found this guy a couple months ago in the middle of the road in the middle of nowhere. Long story short, he has never been fed / loved on / treated like a dog. He weighed a whopping 23 pounds, 2 yrs old medium sized. I currently have 2 very large dominent dogs and they are not getting along. There has been multiple dog fights that have resulted in 2 emergency vet visits. So I'm asking for help to find him a home.

His name is Bones, because thats all he was when I found him. He is extremely, extremely people friendly. I have heard him bark once or twice, so hes not annoying. He is very friendly with my dogs, my dogs hate him. He does have food issues / jealousy issues, thats what the fights have been about. I have called local no-kill shelters around Wilmington and they are all full. He is a really good dog, otherwise I would just take him back to where I found him.

Any help would be awesome. I will drive / deliver / beg / borrower and steal to find this guy a home.

Bones is a cutie and looks like a happy fellow!

Please contact Joanne and Jim at J & J's pet Rescue in Washington, NC. They do absolutely amazing work and their sole motivation is doing what is right for the animal. They participate in or arrange transports as well.

Tell them Joe from the Raleigh area sent ya.

J and J's Homeless Pet Rescue

I hope they can help (they are usually loaded to the gills). If they can, Bones will be on his way to a happy, healthy, long, loving life...........

That's a cute dog and I wish I could help Bones out. I will post him here at work if you want me to. That's a good thing you are doing for him and I hope you find a good solution very soon!

dang I wish I could adopt that cutie - but the present dog that rules the roost is too much of one dog family guy....... There is a rescue in Raleigh that we got one of our pooches from called best friend pet adoption -- they might be able to take him in...... BFPA - Best Friend Pet Adoption - Home

If you want pm me and I'll see if I can get the email address of the lady in charge - she's great.

Thanks for the replies guys. I know as long as I keep trying to find him a good home, something will happen. I contacted the shelter in Washington NC and Im going to send them photos, they sounded very nice and helpful.

If I could get the e-mail of the lady at Best friend pet adoption, I would appreciate it.

Thanks again.

Jeff,

Have you tried the shelter in Oak Island. They are a no kill non profit group that I've heard good things about. I've been talking to as many people around here as I can, but no takers yet. Here's the link to the shelter.
