Uwharrie Land Management Plan and Commenting

Some of you may have already seen the attachment but in touching base with the Forest Service today I came across this and after our informative session while down at the OBX's trip I though this is something we need to stay on top of and become, as a group, more aware of. I gather that we will gain a lot of knowledge once we get in touch with the Ranger and go through a learning experience on trail maintance but it will also be a good time to ask the question that are important to ensuring that we continue to have a place to ride.

Speaking of this. Did we ever adopt a trail up there yet ?

Reason i ask is because i am spending an entire week there and can clean it up.

Feel free to delete this if unappropriate.

Darin, I spoke with Terri today and the paperwork is in process, it's likely that we will be doing a training session the weekend of the 16-17 but if you want let us know how things look so we can comment about the trail that weekend with the FS.

I worked with the FS before when i was in a club that no longer exists.

I will give it a once over then for cleaning and have a look at any that looks like it may need to be fixed in some way. Did alot of work on Rocky mount many years ago .

Darin, please note if we need to bring any tools for any repairs that we'll need to be doing. Without doubt, McGruber will have what we need, but just to make sure...

Other than a paperclip and chewing gum wrapper, what could we possibly need?
