UPDATE: Monthly Meetings

Hope everyone has had a good year thus far, among the BOD we have come up with a plan to increase club activity while maintaining a balance among all our members. As we have always stated the monthly meetings will be held the Second Sunday of every month. These meetings, at times, will incorporate a HAMOM (Help a member of the month) when adequate notice is provided. We as the BOD's feel it is our responsibility to post the information for each meeting no later then two weeks prior to each meeting to provide everyone adequate time to schedule attendance when possible. Do remember that these meetings are not required but attendance is greatly encouraged, it is your club and your ideas play a big part in how we organize activities throughout the year.

We have chosen a format for the meetings we think will work best and that is to rotate them between our 3 regions (Triangle-Triad-Charlotte). So we will have our next meeting in Charlotte on May 3rd (the second sunday is Mothers Day so I have pushed this one forward). I will leave it up to the VP's in each region to coordinate a time and location. We all have lifes outside of this club so if you can't make the meetings that is understandable there will be another one. Also we have a very good group so I would encourage everyone to carpool when possible when the meeting location is not in your area.

Also something we discussed, I know for some of us we may have to travel a good distance to make some of the meetings so when possible if you know of a local event you think many would enjoy, such as a music festival in your area or a 4x4 event or such, lets try and incorporate those ideas into our meetings, that way we aren't always driving somewhere to have a meal and a few drinks only to turn around and drive right back. If this means moving a date posted below, just plan your event with the 2 weeks notice required so everyone who wished to attend can plan accordingly.

Below are the dates of the second sundays for the calendar year 2009:
*I have move meetings forward or backwards if it falls on a holiday

May 3rd* (the 10th is Mothers Day) - Meeting in Charlotte
June 14th - Meeting in the Triangle
July 12th - Meeting in the Triad
August 9th - Meeting in Charlotte
September 13th - Meeting in Triangle
October 11th - Meeting in Triad
November 8th - Meeting in Charlotte
December 13th - Meeting in Triangle

Hope this helps everyone and we can get back on track with this, I know in previous meetings we have had a great turnout and I hope this continues.

Alright Triad what are we looking for for those who aren't headed to Harland, I would still like those not going to have an option for that weekend.

AL that would be great. I was hoping to have it set but really am at a loss and am behind on readying the rig for Harlan and getting the pig buttoned up.

My apologies to the group for not having a notice up in further advance.

this should work out nicely as a majority of the triangle and triad are heading to Harlan.
