I posted a message in the BOD section and wanted to follow up here also.
I've contacted the editor for Toyota Trails (Todd Kaderabek, also a NC resident and club member) about an article submission and he is happy to consider it for this event. I have a deadline of May 10th and would like to encourage anyone who would like to share their perspective of the event to send me an email, PM or post up in this thread.
Also, those pictures that are up for consideration also, please send me the full size version to my email so that I can share them with the editor also. I want to give us every opportunity to get this event, our club and the access issues a venue for increased exposure...

Looks like you guys had a great time! Sorry we missed you...we were out on OBX and were hoping to catch-up with you at Ocracoke or Hatteras, but decided to stay put at Cape Lookout the whole time. Here's some pics from our trip: CAPE LOOKOUT
BY THE WAY, was that PHROGG4EVR in the Marine helicopter on Friday morning flying along the coast line??? The boys were waiving at him so I was hoping he got their pic from the air...

LakeNorman Sorry we missed ya, great photos and believe it or not I am surprised we didn't see you, it seems we came across almost every cruiser in the banks.

Yeah one of the things I forgot to do when we spoke before the trip was get your phone number to get ahold of you when we were out there. Sorry about that. As for the Helicopter... I have no idea.

I hated I missed the April trip - but was able to get out there for a quick trip this weekend.
Weather was awesome! We stayed near Frisco & had a great time - I'll see if I can't get up a shot of us on the beach. Here's a cell pic of the wife @ Hatteras
Brian, thanks for the link in an earlier post for the Beach Closures/Google Earth - pretty sweet!

Thanks for everyone's contributions to my submission to Toyota Trails. I sent off the email with the document a few minutes ago. I hope it didn't come out too cheesy, maybe just a little.
Once I hear back from Todd, I'll share his feedback with hopes of seeing it in the next Toyota Trails publication. Again, thanks for all the feedback, it really helped a great deal...

Yeah, I thought at least one of those was worthy. Maybe they wouldn't print well in the mag, who knows.
Thanks for the positive comments, its easy when the event is well organized, fun and in a spectacular environment...

Based on what I was reading, sounds like you folks kept moving north over several days, some of that was on the beach runs.
Wondered what the folks with the tow rigs were doing? Did they double back to grab the tow rig/trailer? (Was thinking mostly of the Corolla section where I "think" everyone just kept going north and not sure if you came out somewhere on VA side somehow?
Just thinking ahead to next year... not 100% sure my pickup is reliable enough that I feel comfortable on a 500+ mile round trip on its own. That is one reason I am starting to drive it around town more / want anything that IS going to go wrong, happen NOW.
My other option is to pull it there behind the tow rig and just use it for beach travel... or take the dodge or borrow dads tundra.
The article and pics convinced me this trip is #1 priority next spring!

Sam, tow rigs were left in camp and the cruisers were driven around Hatteras. On the last day they were driven up to corolla and left in a parking lot and then the cruisers driven on the beach the rest of the way. I'm sure though that the truck wouldn't have any problem making the trip.

Anyone into Cruisers and the great outdoors is welcome!! In fact, anyone from "The Bluegrass State" would be welcome with opened arms! Put it on the calendar for next year and make your reservations early - this is going to be a big ride next year I have a feeling!

Don't know if I'm the last one to see it, but the pic of Greg's and Ramon's trucks are on the TLCA wallpaper page. Pretty cool pic Jerry.
