Looking For An FJ40

Since my dad is selling his 40 and freeing up some garage space, I'm looking for a 40 to start a frame off restoration/buggy type build for myself. Basically what I'm looking for is a good frame and body. I'll be putting on 1 ton axles, new Tcase, new engine, and do some custom body work so there's no need for it to run. I may have told a few of you I had started working on a buggy project but I'm going to abandon the tube frame idea and go with a 40 platform as a starting point. Could take 6 months could take 6 years to build so we'll see...

Anybody got a 40 for sale?

No idea if this is someone's on MUD or not, but here is something close by.

1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 40

Might be a good base for a buggy project.

Yes, that's Addicted's 40. There's a great picture of me riding shotgun at OBX in his Craig's List post. If that doesn't sell his 40, then I don't know what will!

Just to clarify I'm gonna be doing as little body work as possible because I want to try to keep the stock lines. I just need something that isn't a complete rust bucket. I might be better off just trying to find one that's being parted out? Idk

Guy is comming to pick it up this weekend. He said the final selling point was that smile in the right seat. He said if it was fun for that guy it would be fun for me

Hijack over
