What should his penance be?

Our illustrious club President has committed some very serious transgressions. He has failed to uphold his usual standards and is lagging in his responsibility of being a Cruiser Role Model.

Therefore, we need to discuss what Greg's penance will be.

First, let's review his sins:

  1. At the Uwharrie ride last weekend, Greg confessed he had neither washed nor waxed his 80 in 2-3 weeks. In addition, while washing his Mini, he got water overspray on the 80 and did nothing about it!
  2. Under threat of serious derision, Greg also admitted he has not been doing his regular maintenance on the 80.
  3. While putting on a show on Kodak Rock, our club President whacked and dented his driveshaft.
  4. This is marginal, but Greg had a subwoofer in his 80 last weekend. He also had stuff in the cargo area which was not meticulously packed.
Someone of less stature within the Club would be put on Club Timeout, and might be forced to trail Barry's diesel on a weekend-long ride. Giving consideration to Greg's role in the Club, he may not be subject to such harsh treatment, but neither can he shirk his duties and walk innocently away.

Therefore, please suggest some ways in which Greg can atone for his sins.

I suggest that at our next ride, we should affix Spinners to Greg's wheels.

I also suggest curb feelers, some curtains in red, white, and green, and stick figures of himself and all the club members on his rear window....

Vehicle has been brought to new heights with all new fluids, rotated and balanced tires, new driveshaft, and not to mention a recent wash and wax, to include a thorough undercarriage wash.

This is preperation of sale, with not upholding my club standards and model membership I have been forced by our members to sell. Truck will not be sold with sub-woofer or spinners.....

Well done Joe.

Joe, did he enter the vehicle by sliding into the seat with both feet out, thus allowing him to clap his shoes together and avoid soiling the mats? If not, he was really not himself. I say we force him to wear a dab of diff oil behind each ear on his next date.

Barry, he was doing that, and I was gullible enough to fall for his story. He told me he watched Wizard of Oz Thursday night to get pumped up for the weekend; and whenever he got in his truck he'd click his heels together like Dorothy and mutter something. Here I thought he was being weird, but alas he was really just cleaning the dust off his shoes.

I can tell you that while riding in Greg's caddy with the a/c pumping...the dash was gleaming with armor all

I really like the "I Heart Jeeps" idea.

Okay....when are we meeting for a beer next? Official club meeting, that is. I prefer a/c cooled buildings during the summer...I'm a heat wuss and just not made for trail riding outside during these months. (Yes, my garage does have a/c, thank you very much)
We'll make Greg buy us beer to repay for his sins.

Well, would anyone be up for a cook out, this coming weekend just for meetings sake?

Barry, you mentioned you have A/C in that little garage of yours....

Hey, and would you believe I'm in the middle of stripping down the fj45 for restoration? I hope to be done by Friday and take it to the body shop Friday afternoon for paint, but if not, Monday will be the goal. I wish I had a car trailer to take the body over there, but I don't, and it wouldn't fit down my driveway anyway.
In all seriousness, I can check with the wife and see if she's up for company on Saturday if anyone is really interested.

Wife says too short of notice for this weekend, plus we may need to shoot over to meet up with my rents on Saturday. I'll see what kind of progress I make on the 45 this week. I may need help loading on Sunday or next weekend.....dunno....just depends on how much time I get between now and then.

I'm having a sod party Friday night and Saturday. Free beer and food. I only have 3 pallets to put down.
