got a new ride today

Finally! I love my 80, but it's just not a DD and buisness truck anymore. I like to play in it too much which has lead me to modify it and keep it dirty a lot.

Anyways, i was on the hunt for a good, reliable car that i could use as a DD.

Had my heart set on a 98-00 Lexus LS 400. I would have liked to get a LS430 also, but they were priced just slightly higher than i wanted if they had low miles.

Anyways, got lucky and found a cream puff LS400 that was owned by a retired couple in Florida who purchased it new. They lived in a retirement community so it was hardly driven and garage kept. It only had 43,000 miles when i got it and it was a 00' model. That was the last year of the LS400 before they upgraded the platform to the 430.

It's dark out right now but i'll take some pics tomorrow and post up.

I'm totally pumped about this thing. I won't say what i paid because i think i paid a fair price considering the condition. I didn't steal it, but i also don't think i overpaid either.

Pics coming tomorrow.

As a side note, this means that i can FINALLY use the 80 for what i purchased it for; which is wheelin' it exclusively. So.... i will have a set of half-used Nitto terragraplers in a 315-16 size for sale soon so i can slap on some Swampers.

Better yet some spinners!

the only problem i'm having with it so far is it's TOO FAST!! hahaha, i'm so used to the huge cruiser, this thing just flat flies. Coming back from the beach last weekend i was running about 90 mph and didn't even realize it. If it weren't for cruise control i would have run 90 - 100 the whole time.

That is the exact reason I drive a slow cruiser. Going fast is way to easy in modern cars and the hundy helps keep my speeds mostly below 80.
