New Cruiser Accessory

Picked up a Coleman Scanoe last night!

shinton1970's photos and albums on webshots

Hoping to slap it on top of the 80 and hit some local spots for fishing, maybe longer trips for good fly fishing, etc! I have been trying to really get into fishing for a while, any and all suggestions for good spots in the area (or state) are welcome!

Any other 'boaters' out there? I know I saw some of you had your 'yaks with you on the OBX trip. I prob will take mine down there next summer for putting around on the inland side and fishing with. (Assuming there is not good reasons not to?)

If you have leads on good prices on Trolling motors or small gas motors I am interested, let me know!

Thats pretty cool Sam, I have a couple of small boats, one has a 9.8 Mercury and a trolling motor and a depth finder that I use on lakes for trolling and the other I just use as a drift boat for rivers and occasionally small ponds. Give me a shout some time and we can go hit the Dan River sometime or something.

Sounds like a plan, I am waiting on the bill of sale / will get mine registered so I am legal!

Dan River looks like it would be perfect, also heard lots of good stuff about City Lake in Jamestown!

I need to start goin paddling again. Used to go every friday night from Pine Hall over to Humphrey's Ridge Marina on Belews Lake.....then eat a very unhealthy fried food meal, and paddle around in the dark..

Did the Dan last year a couple times, and got pretty good at doin the Gorilla Walk...go a day or so after a heavy rain....

Didn't realize the Dan got that shallow, I know the Mayo over by Stoneville has some low spots/waterfalls. I used to take my kayak over there to play a bit in the "whitewater"

Got a Minn Kota Endura 55lbs of thrust trolling motor ordered and on the way. It is supposed to be here Monday, hoping to get this thing registered and on the water by next weekend!

coool deal. the dan can get very very very shallow if it doesnt have rain. fortunately, the upper part of the dan gets alot from the foothills.
