Mines and old Railroads in NC
All,
Just wondering if anybody is into exploring old mines and railroads grades of NC. I have a MRDS file for NC that show all the locations for old mines. Anybody know of any good ones to go explore? It shows some old mines near Uwharrie that I would like to go and see if I could find them. I will try to post a map withthe location of one mine that is near the hiking trails at Uwharrie. I would just ask that parties involved make sure to obey any land laws that our in place...if accessible be sure to map it on GPS for future rides.

There's a small 'mine' right near me, not a whole lot done there though, I guess they didnt find enough gold.
