New to ONSC

I've been in the Raeford/Fayetteville area for about the past 7 years (military) but due to numerous deployments I have just recently started getting involved with IH8MUD. I would love to meet some Cruiser owners around the area. Right now I hang out with a few friends that drive j**ps and I have wheeled with Carolina J**psters. Last month while I was out at the UNF with the J**psters I ran into another guy that had a FJ40 on the slab pile. I cant remember your name, but if you see this post, shoot me a line.

I have a '72 FJ40 with a '76 2F, riding on 33s with disks up front. The truck is currently in the garage with the back half of a spring flip and SOA done. Still need to do the front half and the PS. Anyone want to help??? I'll provide the ! Here are a few pics of the Cruiser.

Welcome,

There is some great cruiser knowledge in the Fayetteville area, if Darin's available I'll let him chime in.

always nice to see another 40 around. Yeah Darin is definitely the guy in Fayetnam to talk to. I'm sure he'll stop in soon. Hopefully you can get out to URE with us soon.

LOL Thanks for pointing that out! The PO drilled license plate holes into the top of the bezel and rather than have the license plate block air flow, I just left it upside down. I do need to just ditch the plate and flip the bezel.

I.m here. just really busy right now.

We need to hook up one day man. I am also in Raeford just closer to Rockfish. Good luck with the Jeepsters club man. I could tell you some stories about them but that is for another day. I know most of the old timers there.

Drop me a line. I work on post still man.

I would love to make the run on the 6th, but I just dont think it is gonna workout. I still have to complete the front spring flip and front half of the SOA. Still need to get the driveshaft lengthened, order shocks, and get the knuckles turned. Oh ya, and since I still have the strongarm steering, I need to go ahead and do a saginaw upgrade too (and I haven't even ordered all those parts yet). I've got the tools (mostly), now just using the list and friends to get the knowledge so it is all done right and I dont end up killing myself!!!

You are probably right down the street. I'm just off of Lindsay and Adcox in the West Gate housing area. We definately need to hook up someday. Give me a call (c)494-0621. What Cruiser do you drive? There are only a few of them on post.

If you ever go by the clothing sales store you will see my 60 in front by the post office. If you look on the 45 board you will see where i built my 45.

I am in 12 Oaks by the way.

sorry dude, it's a bad habit of mine. Boards have corrupted me into a full fledged Bezel police member. I'm just fortunate mine is a 79 or I probably would have been in the same situation. I may have a seat open for the 6th, but I am not sure yet. if you just want to ride along, I may have a spot for you. I'll let you know as quick as I can.
