Mombassa 1st generation Roof Top Tent For Sale

$300 or B/O

I have a very lightly used Mombassa 1st generation Roof Top Tent (RTT) complete with ladder. It came with my 1985FJ60. I have used it once at Surf and Turf 07, and according to previous owner he used it a few times. It is been garaged between uses so the cover is in great condition. There is one small area about the size of nickel where the fabric on the wall of the tent has been abraded but not punctured.

Fits on Yakima or Thule bars
WT: Approx 110 LBS

Sleeps two very nicely.

Reason for selling: I needed to lighten up the load on my FJ60 so I bought a light weight Oasis2 RTT.

I took posession of the tent in 09/2007. I do not know when it was bought as it came with a FJ60 I bought. The link below shows a tent that is simialr to this one in size, the link is for the second gen to the one I am selling. The one in the link has a better ladder, better rain fly and an optional lower privacy room.

I can't get that website to open -- do you have the open/closed dimensions? Looks like it's a "full size" rather than a queen size bed?

I cant get the web site to open either, and I am sorry but I have not measured it. It is larger than a queen size but not quite king size. If I had to guess I would say 4' x 8'. Which is one of the reasons I am selling it. My wife does not get the "cruiser thing" and the Mombassa it too much tent for me.

If you are local I'll be around most of the 4th of July weekend except saturday. (I have a rear main seal that needs fix'un so the tranny has to come out) which is what i'll be tending to the rest of the weeeknd.
