rammed in the gas hole

An uninsured motorist hit my truck while parked in front of my house. Kid never hit the brakes. I think the truck will be totaled. Anyone know of a good place to get a complete bed? Any ideas for a utility bed? 1997 F250 short bed.

He gave a false police report. He had an insurance card but it had been cancelled. He will get his.

That's what I'm thinking if I don't just throw a salvaged bed on it. Any sources for expo rig beds?

I don't know of any production type deals. Adventure trailers and others have done one off's that were cool. Thinking through the design thouroughly seems harder than the building part to me.

Booo.
Is it better to be totalled?
if you go to that pull a part that has the fzj there do you mind pulling the speed sensor?

Make sure you get a new O-ring for the filler neck when replacing that gas hole, otherwise you'll leak everytime you sit down.

It's cracked at the mounting points.

It can be fixed but the parts and labor total is creeping up on the value of the vehicle. Bed, bumper, camper top, all emblems, mounting brackets and hardware. $$$

Not sure how it's gonna play out best for me.

I'm in a black Z71. The F150 didn't have a tag so I swapped out.

Looks like they won't be fixing it. Can't source parts. They only made these things for 17 years.

I think I'm gonna take a check then try to decide what I'm gonna do for a bed.

Jes, sorry to hear about your rear end problem! That sucks! Something is always gonna get messed up when you get hit there unintentionally.........

You also might want to check Complete Truck Parts on College Hill Drive (in west Jackson, out toward Clinton.) I may be out there in the morning helping a friend of mine look for Land Rover Discovery parts, so if I am, I'll let you know if I run across a decent bed...........yours is a short bed, right? What all years will interchange?
