Some very fun stuff along the power lines, good hill climbs, trails, and they are bring stuff in that make it more then a giant mud hole.
Working on a rock garden and also need help in getting more rocks and culverts from Byram to the park.

Rats...I meant to make that meeting to network a little. Forgot all about it. If anyone is 75% sure or better that they are going post up. We are trying to get a head count.

whats up guys my name is chris barron. i am the pres of Porter Lane Offroad. thank ya'll so much for the interest in the park. i can't wait to have some more yota guys out there to help me fight off the jeep guys. i really would like to try and get a count of the folks ya'll will have coming if possible.
as far as the mud goes, getting around it will not be a problem. there are alternate trails to avoid the mud. most of the guys that ride with us are rock and hill climb guys anyway. there is mud out there but it is certainly not the focus for us.
i know you guys will have a great time if you come out!!! if you have any question just post them up and i will try and answer them!!
to answer the question about ryan and russ porter.... ryan is one of my best friend i have been trying to get him to come out and play but he is lazy!!! he really has nothing to do with it i just give him updates every now and then!! but i think he is coming out this time since it is such a big deal.

here are some of the events that were not mentioned before and the prizes.....
BLIND SPOTTER- DRIVER WILL BE BLIND FOLDED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TRAIL. THIS WILL BE A TIMED EVENT. SPOTTER WILL HAVE TO GUIDE THE DRIVER AND RIG THROUGH THE TRAIL USING ONLY ORAL COMMANDS. THERE WILL BE PENALTIES FOR WINCH LINE PULLS, REVERSES, AND ROLL OVERS. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE PART IN THIS COMPETITION THAT YOUR VEHICLE BE LOCKED FRONT AND REAR. A FRONT WINCH IS ALSO RECOMMENDED. TIE POINTS THAT ARE DEPENDABLE WILL WORK BUT WILL NOT BE IDEAL. THE TRAIL THAT HAS BEEN CHOSEN IS DIFFICULT WHEN YOU CAN SEE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PROPER EQUIPMENT. MUCH LESS BEING BLINDFOLD!!!!
ROLL OVER + 1:30 MIN
WINCH LINE PULL+ :15 SEC
REVERSE+ :15 SEC
1ST PLACE- A POSTER OF YOU RIG PROFESSIONAL DONE BY SUPERLIFT SUPENSIONS
2ND PLACE- A COVER SHOT OF YOU RIG ON YOUR CHOICE OF OFF-ROAD MAGAZINES ALSO DONE BY SUPERLIFT SUSPENSION SYSTEMS.
SCAVENGER HUNT WILL START AT 9:30 AND WILL LAST UNTIL THE 3:00 AWARD CEROMONY. ITEMS WILL BE HIDDEN ALONG EACH MAJOR TRAIL AND OBSTICALE. EACH ITEM WILL HAVE A POINTS VALUE WRITTEN ON THE PART. THE ITEMS MUST BE CARRIED IN YOU VEHICLE AND TURNED IN AT THE AWARDS CEROMONY TO GET CREDIT FOR THEM, YOU MUST HAVE TO HAVE A RIG TO PARTICIPATE. THE PERSON WITH THE MOST POINTS BY 3:00 WILL BE THE WINNER.
1ST PLACE- A POSTER OF YOU RIG PROFESSIONAL DONE BY SUPERLIFT SUPENSIONS
2ND PLACE- A COVER SHOT OF YOU RIG ON YOUR CHOICE OF OFF-ROAD MAGAZINES ALSO DONE BY SUPERLIFT SUSPENSION SYSTEMS.
there will also be a timed trail and absticale course run in the afternoon- prizes not determined yet

Chris, welcome to the CLC forum! I'm looking forward to seeing PLO. Unfortunatly I won't be at this run as I'll be out of town.
Hang around here on our forum any time, and you are welcome any time at a CLC event!

guys its gonna be nice and dry if your worried about mud. They have the tractor tire course in, and a multitude of other trails that will prove to be somewhat challanging. CMSJA cut one last weekend that is not that easy. Pleanty-O hill climbs as well. Trying to get somewhat of a head count.
So far for CLC we have:

Great park with a lot of potential. Lots of hill climbs and some of the slickest bottomless mud pits Ive been through in a while. New trails and a rock garden in the works. I used my usual MO pedal to the floor to keep the truxus sts's spinning through the goo even popped out of gear in the middle of one pit and Lenny got to hear a 1FZFE bouncing off the rev limiter. Military tires are burried for a fun obstical course even though a few of them flattened from the weight of my truck. Overall a great place to play and very close to home. Might ask santa for some boggers for Christmas so I can really experience the whole park. Would make for a great saturday club wheeling adventure.

I agree with offr0adlim0 (Rob). Great park! I was making something out of nothing with my all terrains -need some mud terrains for this park. kids loved the mud and even liked it more when we would slip sideways and sling mud everywhere. v notches were fun. can't wait for this park to catch the rock bug!
