Hannibal Rocks

Have you guys been up to Hannibal Rocks? I contacted Debbie Wombles today in regards to organizing a spring time Toy run, informal deal. Let me know if you guys would be interested or your thoughts on the park. I've been there once, it was opening weekend a couple years ago (New Years) and it was PACKED and we didn't get to see much of the park.

There isn't much to see. Other than the competition area there are only a few trails. You could cover the whole park in less than a day. I'd still be up for a 1 day run though.

On another note. There is supposed to be a bunch of Toyota guys from Arky and St. Louis goin to Flatnasty over thanksgiving.

For some reason I thought it was a bigger park than that.

You have a thread going for the post Turkey Day run? X-post it over in the Tall Corn Cruisers forum if you would like.

Fall Colors

I talked to MoJ about a fall colors/ turkey run. Because of the close proximity to his inlaws, and my access to lodging at the Lake, SMORR really works out nice when the kids are along.

However, Washita is less than 2 hours away our houses. Which also works.

Reckut wanted to take some guys over to Washita also.

Washita is still my favorite park, not for the facilities, they do have a bathroom on site. I didn't get to see much of SMORR though.

Redline is hooking me up with a HD draglink. So I won't have the draglink spaghetti issue anymore, I'll probably just snap something less fixable like a TRE. But I'll have a complete draglink trail spare with me at all times from now on.

Well there are more than a few trails but they are short. Here is a link to the park trail map. forget about the yellow and white because they are access roads and "stock" trails. The remaining trails are few and far between. They are more like obstacles strewn about the park. I wish the Wombles still had access to Rockport park in Pittsfield. It was big.

There isn't really much of a thread on the trip because most of the guys goin don't spend much time online but I'll try to monitor any chatter on AR-TTORA forum or Marlin Crawler forum.

I haven't been there but that's pretty much how I've heard the park described.

Washita would probably be worth driving a couple hours further south for the IA guys.
