Did something else break? I though you got the steering rod from another cruiser?

Someone pullled one off to get me out of the fricking way. Which I dont' really think was necessary. The tie rod end popped off while utilizing the winch to pull the drag link out of the radiator.I think I could have popped it back on and gotten out after stacking some logs in the ravine.

I think the actual issue started 3 years ago when the gal tboned me behind JC Penny in washington. She hit me in the wheel. My steering box shaft was bent, I think that possibly my drag link had a slight bow also. Or I may have bent it goofing off at the farm last weekn driving through deep weeds in the woodline and hitting a rock. Not sure.

I'm just extremely humbled by the trail assistance. Though most probably just wanted me out of the way. Thanks to all. I'll get the part ordered tomorrow and sleeve the sucker. I had an easy option of a free ride back to washington for the truck rather than worrying about the spaghetti draglink all the way home so I took it. I guess I'm getting conservative in my old age, or I've seen to many wrecks, not sure. But I"M feeling much better now. Of course MoJ and I polished off 1/2 a jug of Captain on his deck. But all is well. Thanks to all for their help.

I went ahead and ordred a HD relay rod from slee along with some new OEM relay rod ends. $55,$62 ea. IMO steering is a good investment.
