Great American Toyota Offroad Rally

The newest event for the mid west has arrived.

Great American Toyota Offroad Rally

The Get Flat Nasty with the Tornado Alley Cruisers event has been canceled for this year to help get this event going. This is according to what I had read in the TAC clubhouse forum.

Thad mentioned this Midwest Event a couple months ago. It looks like it's has come to fruition. Of course, there is probably a ton a work to be done. I told him that some of us can be counted on in the St Louis area for some assistance with the event and StL Promotion.

I'm not sure who's actually in charge of the outing. I would like to pre-run the venue prior to fall. Anyone interested, or is that a dumb question.

It actually its a national event being sponserd by several clubs.

Missouri was also supposed to get a National TTORA Takover event too but since there is not Missouri club I think its gonna be in either Texas or Arkansas probably in July.

A pre-run would be a good idea. It was my understanding that members from all clubs involved would have people available for trail guides and the Gateway Cruisers is listed as one of those clubs. I am willing to assist on the stock trails if one of us is needed for that position. I know you guys have way more experience than me and are better suited to the moderate and hardcore trails. If I am going for a pre-run I would like it to be for 2 possibly 3 days due to the distance from our place. We will be available no earlier than the last weekend in March.

I am the one thats actually incharge of getting trail guides. I have already spent some time at the park and will be going back the last weekend in January for the HFO event there. Anyone that would like to be a trail guide or tail gunner, please pm me with your truck mods and your trail level comfort. I need to know tire size, lockers, truck, and winch. Gateway is listed as a sponsor and it would be great to get some help from you all. The Howiepolaza event is being held there in late march or april and i thinks several folks are planning on making that for a look at the park. I am also making notes on each trail and have started posting this on the mod page for Gator.

I'm headed down this weekend with my son-in-law and brother to look at the trails since we've never been. Any other STL folks planning to support the GATOR for the Gateway Cruisers?

TAC has tentatively planned a run to SMORR for Father's Day weekend. That was before we realized that was Father's Day weekend.

What a good father I am. I thought fathers day was in May. I can do a May for sure. June too. The wife wants to spend a couple weekends down at the lake so it will be perfect.

I am up for a run. I will make it this time, although looking at the picks that x factor posted I think a tight pucker wouldnt have been enough for me. So I think for me since I have never visited a trail park before one with true stock trails would be great for me to start out on.

Later

Glad to hear that several of you are looking to attend. I think this can become a bi-annual event if we get enough participation. It would be nice to have a true mid-states event for all of us Toy's to gather at!

I need trail guides for the event. The park is doing a ton of the work for us so set is easy. I will have some smaller list as we get closer. The most important thing is just recruiting folk to come to the event. The Southern cruiser crawl has divided the participants and as of now I dont believe we are getting any TTORA folks even though the ar-ttora is a sponsoring club.
