I asked off for the 18-19 to go so I will see what happens. If not I can at least do a day trip because I don't go in until 7PM.

Sound good, if you are going to make the 18th and want to hook up for the trip down there we can arrange to meet somewhere. I come across the river on the 255 south loop. We look forward to meeting you.

X, we can definitely meet up and figure out once it gets closer. I should have my schedule soon for next month and know for sure.

When you guys (and girls) go down, do you camp, hotel...?

And since the weather was so nice today, I got the running boards off! Man what a difference it makes.

dries001, Looks great. Makes a big difference. I wish I could do the same but need to keep it somewhat family friendly.

We will be tent camping in the primative area.

Glad to see you got the running boards off. It doesn't take much to twist them up.

The wife even says it looks better w/out them. The kids have trouble climbing in right now so I guess I will have to get sliders ASAP

I just found out there is some detail we have on the 18th and no one is off. I am off the 19th and the following weekend. I can come down the 19th or would you be headed back?

Joe, I've never been to a Starbucks in my life.
I'm in for April 18th.

Yeah man - we are purely Bread Co./Panera dudes!

I think I'll have the BMW lifts for next weekend if that works for anyone - let me know and I'll confirm. I'm hoping to grease my shaft (keep comments to yourself) and figure out my exhaust rattle - I know the problem, I just need to figure a fix to stabilize everything after being knocked loose so much on the trail - I'm pretty sure the last straw was the Wash ita waterfall Joe insisted I climb without sliders while my kids were sleeping in the back seat!

If you meet us before the first outing, you may not want to attend the first outing .

My 21 y/o has come along on the trips (and drove) two or three times.

My 9 y/o daughter has joined us 5-6 times and had a blast.

My twin 4 1/2 y/o boys joined us on the last outing to Wash ita and also had a blast (slept through the violent rocking as we tried to get free of the waterfall climb - thanks again Joe).

Man X you're hardcore. If I had sleeping facilities for the little ones I'd be in for both days. I think Nina would be too fascinated by the zipper door on a tent for me to sleep soundly.

As far as the axle service. I do have a USAR training exercise in the am on Saturday that weekend. I'd probably only be able to come down on Sunday. Or we could start it Friday night and finish it on early afternoon on Saturday. Or, I can do the optional friday night exercise, and skip the Saturday session. The axle is more important than Jackhammering, breaching, search camming, and shoring right now. With extra hands and a lift, I think my back would hold up better.

Is there any way you can bring your welder?I Otherwise, I can do it at the farm, but I'm set up for stainless right now. I know exactly where my rattle is coming from. I need to put my cat hanger bracket back together, it's split right down the middle.

Yeah, that waterfall was something. I'm still bewildered by your driving expertise, especially WITHOUT SLIDERS!!!!!!

Or we could do the "start Friday afternoon/night and work straight through Saturday morning, and then go to work, and then come back and finish it off" option that generally works for me.

Or we can just try for another weekend too. I'm test-driving an '09 M6 right now that I have to return on Thursday so I'll check on another weekend then.

dang straight skippy - screw the tough guy stuff! The lift and some experienced help make all the difference in the world. I had the lift and NO help (though StlCruiser did stop by) on my first (and only) attempt, and it was still much nicer than watching you and MoJ go at it on the garage floor

Do you want stick, mig or tig? I can't weld tig, but I have the gear if you know what you're doing. Hell, I can't weld stick or mig very well, but I have that gear too!

No skill on my part, just blind stupid, nutzo, "I'm stuck with no options and I can't believe I agreed to do this freakin' climb" limited choices. If you recall, I tried to chicken out and back down off the climb, but got hung up on my hitch (and tail pipe, and resonator, and muffler, and . . . .). However, that was before new fresh rubber and a jump in size from 32" up to 35" tires. Now I've got a chance.

Oh yeah, I got a lift too - and anyone who has done the birf job on jack stands CAN dream about that - they dream about it for about the next week while their back and neck and legs continue to ache

Hey there all. I would love to be involved in using the lift and your knowledge. I ordered my axle rebuild kit with brake pads and wheel bearings yesterday and am hoping it gets here soon. Would anyone be willing to give me a hand in doing this. I am a 1/2 : and could really use the expertise of knowledgable persons that have done this before. I am still collecting tools, I think I have the majority of things that I need but never doing anything like this who really knows what I have that is useful. I would love to go with you all in april but need to get this done first. If no one is up for it I would still be up to comming and giving a hand. I would be willing to bring a few cases for the over night in April(your choices) for you help...

all

They usually have a wrenching session a few times a year. William (Miescha) is the one who provides the facilities and he seems to be the busiest person on the planet so it sort of is planned around his schedule. Stay tuned here to see when they schedule something.

Steve - Is that your 40 on CL? If so good luck!

I'm still waiting for my official schedule to come out but I'm in for the 19.

By the way. my kids loved camping last year. They loved eating outside and cooking s'mores! It was the wife that kept waking me up w/ "What was that? or What was that sound?" I got a whole lot of sleep!

Hello

Hello everybody, I'm a new guy from Owensville. Just bought an 87 4Runner that is essentially stock.... I need to get it out on the trails so I can start on a list of things to change! Are there any group runs in the near future (that a stocker could participate in)?

We will be heading down to SMORR in May before Moj becomes a daddy in June. We've never been there, but it's my understanding it has stock friendly trails. We will be exploring the entire area. You're more than welcome to come along. I thinking any weekend except May 9th.

Too bad you just missed the mud-run this past Saturday (18th). Only 4 of the 4 trucks ended up with body damage

Need to get sliders need to get sliders need to get sliders

SMORR

Hey, I'd be in for a trip to SMORR! I lived down there for a few years, but haven't ever been to the park. Let me know which weekend you're thinking of, I'm pretty sure I don't have anything going except for the last week.

Nice runner. My advice for your 1st mod would be a locker in the rear axle. It makes a world of difference. I have a source for tons of used Toyota parts and a shop that specializes in Toyota 4x4 mods when your ready to do them.

Thanks! From the playing around that I've been doing, a rear locker is definitely on the list. Where is the Yota shop at?

Thanks! It sounds like I can't do the 16th or 30th, so I'm a bit limited. I'll stay tuned........
